Checking Oil Tanks

Power flushing the system

Power flushing your system will remove debris and air locks in the system which make the heating system perform inefficiently. Including a special additive to the system will improve efficiency and help to prevent clogging which prolongs the life expectancy of the heating system. Ensure that your oil fired heating system is operating at peak performance and in accordance with BS7593:1992, "A code of practice for treatment of water in domestic hot water and central heating systems".

When the burner locks out, it indicates that there is a problem within the boiler system. The engineer should be contacted as soon as possible. If your boiler has stopped operating unexpectedly, then it may have encountered a problem and locked out, in this case, press the red lit lockout button on the front of the burner a couple of times. If the boiler fails to ignite, then there is a problem that needs urgent attention, you should contact us for repair as soon as possible. Do not keep resetting the system as this may cause more problems which will cost more to repair. If the system works well after a reset then servicing may not be as urgent. Remember that oil fired boilers should be serviced each year for optimum performance and fuel efficiency.
